For the second time in 2 months, SPT returned to Italy to run a number of gyroscopic surveys for the gas industry in this Mediterranean country. The first visit in May of 2008 came 36 hours after an urgent phone call requiring gyro services. On the second occasion, personnel of SPT was happy to return to the workshop of the Wireline Services located in Ravenna on Italy's east coast.

The job was located towards the south of Italy on the east coast in the towns of Vasto and San Salvo. This region is dominated by on and off shore gas fields and agriculture. 3 wells in 3 days was the plan. One gas storage well and two completion wells was completed in 3 days. The SPT North Seeking Gyro showed great results on these near vertical wells. This trip also showed the flexibility and professionalism that SPT work at with such short notice.

It looks like the locals in this region of rolling hills and beautiful beaches will be seeing a lot more of SPT in the years to come.
